Tinkerbell Speaks
Yes, it is totally true the new Tinker Bell movie she has been given a voice. At the time of
writing this site Tinkerbell is currently doing the talking clock in the UK (my guess it is a Disney Christmas
stunt)
The new Tinker Bell movie reveals a side to our favorite
fairy that no one has ever seen before. This direct-to-DVD release brings us to the beginning of Tinker Bell, way
before she met up with her future friend Peter Pan. Not only do we see Tinker Bell’s creation and journey to find
out where she belongs, but now she can talk!
The movie begins with a child’s first laugh, which means a new fairy had been born. Tinker Bell then finds that
her talent is that of a tinker fairy, not one of the more glamorous talents. Being a tinker also means that she
will never be able to go to the mainland, which she is so desperate to visit. Ashamed of her talent, she turns to
her friends hoping to learn a more important talent, like being a light fairy, water fairy, or animal fairy, all of
which get to visit the mainland. Follow Tinker Bell in her hopes of going to the mainland and her discovery of
where she belongs and being proud of whom she is.
This classic happy-ending Disney film sends out a good message to children and is a fun family film. It’s not
the same Tinker Bell that we saw previously in the Disney classic, Peter Pan. We get to know her better through
this movie, especially now with the advantage of her being able to speak.
This DVD is also packed with bonus features! Tone your tinkering
skills with the “Tinker Trainer”, or take a tour of Pixie Hollow with Tinker Bell! Discover how fairies put the
“wonder” in natural wonders with a cute little featurette called “Ever Wonder”, or watch a music video featuring
Disney Channels Selena Gomez. See how the creators made Pixie Hollow and watch some deleted scenes from the movie.
Be sure to grab your copy of Tinker Bell, in stores everywhere on October 28th.
